Xbox question

Okay, so I have an XBox 360 now and it's way cool, but there's one thing I've been trying to do.

How can I copy files from a portable device or a data CD onto my Xbox hard disk? If I'm playing a music CD, I can rip the files to the Xbox, but I can't do the same if I'm playing music from a USB stick or CD full of mp3s. Any idea how I can do this?

You can transfer files to the xbox using windows media connect or some program with a similar name. You should also be able to transfer files from the dashboard. Stick your usb stick in, then go to the system screen and look under memory. I'm surprised it doesn't already treat the mp3 cd just like a normal one.
