Windows on Mac?

How do you get Windows programs to run on a Mac? Is there an easier way than installing Windows (if that's even possible)?

Virtual machine if the application doesn't have a Mac version

Or boot camp it as a last resort

I tried cross over and that was alright.
Parallels though is amazing.

You have to install windows on another partition, but its worth it.

VMWare fusion and parallels are great.

VirtualPC by Microsoft works well on PowerPC Macs.

Yeah, this would be one of the newer Intel Macs.

i've found crossover to be the best.

parallels and vmware dont play half life 2 and such as well (or at all) for me as they do on crossover. bootcamp is the best option.

if you're gonna buy a real windows disc to run windows on your mac, don't waste your 1 or 2 serial uses on VMware or parallels. you lose so much performance when you have both OS's running. it's best to just install windows and be able to use it by itself, if you're going for hardware/graphics intense applications.

Or get a mac since macbooks are pretty much the best laptops :p

Crossover is pretty much required if you want to do serious gaming. However, Parallels is far better for everything else. I use it to run Office 2007, Zune, Media Center, etc.

Thanks guys, I'll check that stuff out. Getting a PC is definately out of the question, I can't afford or justify two new computers.

If you load Windows in Boot Camp, you can still boot it from VMWare. Best of both worlds.. :D

Except for having the highest failure rate! :v:

Pfft. All industry insiders know that having a high rate of failure is the easiest way to post better market penetration numbers.

Tee hee.

Penetration.

Gussets, butt straps and flanges too.

Oh, and the lip is typically 20% of the size of the flange.
