I call upon you for assistance!

I am looking for the drivers for a soundcard currently installed inside of my PC. I have the type of card and the model numner, but I can't find the manufacturer, and thus can't find the drivers for it.

Wow. Try finding some generic AC 97' drivers.

Is there an FCC code anywhere on the card? you could try plugging the numbers into this search: http://driverzone.com/fcc_id_search.htm I have had some luck using this with some older hardware.

Edit: I should have tested this site before posting, it seems that this link no longer works (at least for me). Try this one, http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=145
A simple google search of the FCC ID works some times as well.

You could try booting with a Knoppix CD and using the lspci command in a terminal. With any luck it should have the name of your card.
Sorry for the lousy German

indeed it is! it looks like llibja found the correct driver.

the VEN_13F6 is the brand, in this case SiS, and the DEV_0111 is the model. this is usually the easiest way to find drivers for unknown hardware.
