Azerbaijan's entry for Eurovision 2008.

A) It deserves a thread of its own.
B) Eurovision is about more than music or "music", so it doesn't belong in the music discussion forum! (And no one would watch it if I posted it there.)

Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Really technically it is, but I still wouldn't call it Eastern European.

More like Asian. Aslan? *** LAN! Oh goodie.

If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

That's the worst thing I've ever seen. I want to gouge my eyes out and stick pencils in my ears.

Turkey: Mor ve Ă–tesi - Deli

The live one where they won the Turkish vote was crappy quality. I like this one better. Deli means "Crazy"

Huh? It's horrible.

The complete lack of respect for any ordinary standard of quality that marks most Eurovision entries is not quite as apparent in the Bulgarian and Turkish songs.

Ireland, on the other hand, is obviously playing on the one thing that unites Eurovision voters in every country: scorn for Eurovision. :P

I've been meaning to find out... will any TV station in the U.S. carry this? Or will I be forced to stream it on my computer? Not watching it is not an option... I watched last year's contest in Copenhagen and it was a terrific time.

You have to watch it via stream.

You won't hear commentators for any country either, just the hosts.

Don't worry though, it's only a 10-30 second delay from the television broadcast. Cavey ruined a bunch of things for me last year :argh:

I can't imagine watching it from anywhere but Britland, without Terry Wogan taking the crap out of everything it would be pointless.
nope.
