I think a true Star Wars devotee would feel that Portman was a poor choice for the prequel to begin with.

I'm really having trouble seeing why Keira Knightley was merely Sabe and Natalie had the lead role. Natalie seems to be really horrid in acting for action scenes, but Keira did really well in POTC as I'm sure she had to work with quite a few green screens as well.

Seems odd Natalie would do something like that, maybe she's jealous of Keira?

ok quite frankly i think both kiera and natalie portman are over rated. and if it came down to it, kiera is the better actor, and shes prettier with those goddamn cheek bones id do anythin for point is, they're both pretty but yeah damn over rated. n portman, aside from starwars (which aint gonna earn her an oscar) always does these weird movies where you cant even say if her acting is good or bad because if you say its bad, one could say 'oh but its one of those artsy movies so its sposed to be awkward like that..thats what makes it so real' bs. kieras the better actor.

I sincerely agree with everything you just stated.

Nat has no screen presence or true charisma. Keira has at least a litte, it's how she managed not to be completely overshadowed by Johnny Depp in PotC.....same can't be said for Orlando Bloom, who is essentially a male version of Nat. I think they have the same body come to think of it...

I hope you're not judging her acting talent on her performances in TPM and AotC, as she was saddled with incredibly bad scripts for both movies. The girl can act when her material doesn't suck.

Ever seen "The Professional"? I thought that was pretty good acting. Speaking of which, she should be a hit woman not a stripper.....

The problem with the Star Wars movies is that George really isn't an Actors' Director. This is hell on actors who require directing. Some have managed to do pretty well, such as Alec Guinness, Harrison Ford or Ian McDiarmid. But many can't deal with it.
