So I'm friends with the AV guys in my school, and long story short I can use a hugh jass lecture hall as my private videogame area in the wee hours of the night.

The first thing I tried was Homeworld, the second was Oblivion. They were bleeding awesome, homeworld especially. Just wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions for games that need to be tried with this setup. Sound is pretty sweet too.

Something like Doom 3? Or maybe FEAR if you can withstand shallow level design.

Serious Sam: Second Encounter. Co-op or deathmatch. My girlfriend won an HDTV widescreen telly in a raffle at work. So we hooked that up to her PC and played three player splitscreen with us two and her housemate. Awesome.

I did this at a friends house who had a huge projector TV system with a good flight simulator and awesome surround-sound system. Felt like I went from flying an F-22 to a 747 :psyduck:

I once tried Medal of Honor: Allied Assault on my 96" projector screen. Was foolish enough to do it on the D-Day landing level which is of course full of shaking etc. By the end of it, I decided it wasn't a good idea :)
