Crucial's app gives me this:

http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/viewscanbyid.aspx?id=007C351E31D926C3

But my the bloke who runs our IT dept found this at our local supplier for cheaper:

http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=15028&category_id=452

Am I safe to buy the cheaper RAM from CCL? It looks the same to me

I'm running a G4 Powerbook btw.

Corsair RAM is arguably the best there is. Their QC is excellent. Crucial is great too, but it's not going to matter. Get the cheaper stuff.

Get whatever's cheaper.

I intend to get whatever's cheaper - I suppose what I'm trying to say is: "is the crucial RAM the same as the Corsair RAM?" i.e. I know the Crucial stuff is the right stuff for my machine, but is the Corsair chip its equivalent?

Oh, yes, they are both PC2700.

As long as it's the right type, brand won't make much of a difference.

I put Kingston in my iMac G5.
