If anyone's interested, I'm selling all my PC games on eBay, for what I consider a fairly reasonable price. I'm just in a bad spot for money now, so I figured I could get a good chunk from these. Yes, I already know I'm going straight to hell for selling my JK CDs, but like I said, money's tight.
If you want to see what titles are included or care to make a bid, you can check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3067549501&category=11047

Here's a picture of all the games in a little arrangment I made:

Since most of those games are rather old, and you're selling them second hand, I would never pay more than £60 for them all.

I think you would do better selling them individually.

Way to post productively. Instead of just not posting, you decided to criticize his wording and point out that you don't want to buy them.

GoY's the only one that had any real purpose to posting.

As for me, if I had the money I'd buy the lot. JK is the only one that I have, and I could give that to someone else.

I agree with that. Not many people are going to drop $325 for all those games, but you could get a bunch of people to drop $10, $20 or $30 depending on how old the game is [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Are you serious? I've seen games being sold for 80€ (~£56) here in Finland. Those were for consoles and a total rip-off, but still. I think he's asking for a fair price.

What if you tried selling them in smaller bundles, or seperatly? I know I have a few of those games (maybe a third?) and I wouldn't want to pay that much for only 2/3 of the games, even if I wanted them. You can even have the total price of all the game "bundles" add up to 325$, and you'd have a better chance of selling more of them.

1 0. Just my two bits.

Hmm.. An interesting note. On the JK1 box, Darth Vader is on there.. but I'm pretty sure you never fight Vader in the game.. (unless my memory was wiped by the KGB again.

Interesting.. I don't remember that on my box.

My original plan was too sell them all seperately, but I really didn't want to deal with 20 different auctions at once, and then send all the games to 20 different buyers. Knowing my luck I would have to deal with quite a few idiots before I got rid of them all. I figured trying to get sell them in bulk would save me alot of time and frustration.

Sorry, don't have that kind of money.

BTW: The JK box includes MotS, which has Vader.

It wasn't the original box. I remember seeing the box in a Lucasarts catalog, and I decided to get the game thinking that you got to fight Vader.
2003-12-26, 7:32 AM #15
Ah. That would have been a cool bonus level or something..

I never played MotS.. Hmm.

Wow. $325, and you still have a week left. I was going to place a bid of $5, but then I saw the current bid, and I was sad. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

I'd get it for System Shock 2, I have boxes for all the other true, incredibly memorable classics. But I don't need a new box that bad.

Edit: And yes, you have a rather different JK box. Mine has Jerec and Kyle in that shiney metal effect.

I thought someday that the Vader-box would include secret level where you would fith Vader. But because I knew that it didn't have any level like that, I didn't buy the box. And at the same time, some magazine offered JK & MotS for 0 euros. Well, the ordering of the magazine was about 3 euros, so JK & MotS for 3 euros... not bad.

I think that there wasn't, but there was the secret level of Cloud City, where you faced Dark Kyle and Dark Mara. I remeber that someone made a special edition of the level, where you faced Vader instead of Kyle and Mara. So I don't think there's a secret level in MotS with Vader (althought I believe that a level like that was planned, because there are some 3do's in the game what points that it at least planned)...

If someone was willing to pay $325 for these games USED, they'd probably be willing to pay full price for most of them. I can tell you right now some of those games would cost under $5 in the discount bin at EB. The thing about selling stuff used is that you have to be willing to do it at a substantial discount to the buyer, otherwise the incentive to buy used (and therefore potentially unreliable or incomplete) items is just not there. You have only a few days left in the auction and still not a single bid. That should tell you to drastically reduce the reserve price (the reserve price should be lower than what you expect it to go for; remember, $325 is just the STARTING BID). Bring it down to $50-$75 to start and you might get a few bites.
