Are all these strange threads really necessary?
2008-04-27, 6:04 PM #1
Are the threads that have been popping up as of the latter part of Massassi's existence really all that necessary? You know the ones I'm referring to: random spe threads, smelling farts, airplanes on conveyor belts, shower diaries, shaving buttholes, and the list goes on.

Vote whether or not you think these threads should exist on the Massassi Temple forums, and list/link some of the worst threads in Massassi's history here.

I fail to see how the physics discussion fits into that category.

That fell under the pointless category as 95% of the community knew the answer, and it was like beating a dead horse as we already had the discussion once before. Though let's not derail the thread with that topic.

Is this thread complaining about strange threads really necessary?
2008-04-27, 6:17 PM #5
They're necessary, because they're practically the only activity on these forums.

Well then no, they're not necessary. But who cares? I just ignore them.

Yeah, they're obviously not necessary but there's also no real problem with them unless individual ones break the rules.

they're necessary for comedic reasons

Why do people complain about anything on massassi? Do extra threads really effect you at all in any way? The answer is: No, they don't. Stop complaining.

At the same time I don't think you should have to force yourself to ignore something.

That isn't how life works. Must the internet be an escape from reality?

PS, zany threads are the best threads.

That thread was useful. That's where I learned to make a toilet paper landing pad on the water to protect myself from splashes when taking a Hershey Dump.

I laughed.

Hey, the landing pad is the most useful piece of knowledge ever put to use in fire camps to prevent the blue splash back in the porto-potties.

I didn't say it wasn't
He just phrased it funnily.

P.S
I know "Funnily" isn't a word.

Davecat is complaining about weirdness on the internet? Also the airplane on conveyor belts one is good for getting people to embarass themselves a bit and at the time mythbusters were about to solve the question once and for all.
