new hobbies?

Yesterday I went to a local go-kart track and watched adults, and kids duke it out on the course. After the days events were over I climed into a kart for the first time.. Thanks to some friends of mine who have been racing karts for over 20 years.

All I have to say is holy ****.. you really can't appreciate it till you drove one. I was easily hitting 2-3 g's on the corners. Getting up to 70mph in just a couple seconds. They are not a toy.. but I enjoyed every second of it even when I got my right rear into the grass and spun out. Hopefully I'll get some more track time and I'll enter my first race in 19 days. But I'm very excited about it and I had to tell you guys.

What's your new hobbies?

I've always wanted to get a bad *** dune buggy... never had the spare cash though.

I like to go out to race courses, not so much into drag strips. Just time and money...

Track cycling for me. Been down to the track 7 or 8 times so far. I'm quite enjoying it. I just need to get my fitness up a bit and I'll be good to race I think.

OGC Something I've been meaning to pick up for a long time. After doing it a few times a week, I feel so much more relax than I ever have before and I don't feel quite as nervous around women as I used to in the past.
