Congrats, just don't ever turn into one of those cops that seem like they have something to prove and a stick up their @. Of the 5 times I've been pulled over (only twice for speeding) in the last few years, I've only had ONE cop who I can say was nice and polite.

Were your ride-alongs with GPD part of the Explorers program they have there? (I live a couple miles away from SFCC, few of my buddies were Explorers)

As funny as this is, I didn't realize JLee was CadetLee until a month or two ago. I must have been absent when the name changed.

Congrats! You'll be getting to work just as all the students (well, since it's Dartmouth, more like 3/4 of them) are about to go home. They shouldn't give you too much trouble during finals. ;)

He has two months' seniority on me - he was hired in July..I was hired in September. We both went to the same academy, though.
