How can you choose between ford, connery, and deniro?
2008-05-10, 10:32 PM #5
Ok. Ford was Han Solo and Indiana Jones. He belongs in a level of amazing actor three levels above any actor ever, living or dead.

To compare him to such trash as James Bond, Highlander and League of Extraordinary Gentleman is insulting to everyone that watches movies.

Also I'm wrestling between large amounts of man love for Daniel Craig and Clive Owen as greatest actor ever.

eh, for someone to fit 'greatest actor' role I'd say they have to be good at playing any kind of character.
All his characters are pretty similar, don't get me wrong, he plays the role really well, but that doesn't qualify him as greatest actor

Seeing as he's the only actor to come out of the original Star Wars trilogy with a career I'd say that means a lot.

That's not fair, Alec Guiness is dead.

Sean Connery can only play Sean Connery. Which is why I find Sean Connery annoying.

He's like a more in shape scottish version Steven Seagal.

Mark Hamil has had a very succesful voice acting career, if you didn't know.

He's probably voiced most of your favorite characters.

I would vote him for the most awesome actor, but not necessarily the best. I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with just great

In the 90s he was my favorite actor. Being raised on Indiana Jones and later becoming a huge Star Wars fan, he was pretty much the logical choice. There was also The Fugitive, Air Force One, Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games, etc. Anyway, in the last 10 years, he made a lot of really bad career decisions. I don't think I can call him my favorite actor anymore, but he's definitely given us a lot of incredible performances.
2008-05-12, 11:25 AM #31
He's just given the same performance over and over again.

I just have trouble calling an actor great when he's only done one role. Sure, he may be awesome in that role, but can he do anything else or is he a one-trick pony?
