Getting skins to work

Hello. I'm new to JK2 (just bought it), and i also just made a new Skin, but when i try to use it, it doesn't show up!!1 why? (the skins is based off trando model, so when i choose my reskin, it goes to trando skin for some reason) HELP plz.:o

As I stated the last time you asked this, you have to beat the game with just the bryar pistol in order to use reskins.

no u don't. thats bogus. (but it is very possible with my Bryar Reskin from JK2 classic files). Besides i alredy have several reskins(but not my own.

If you can't get the tutorial in the link I posted earlier to work, you need to start modding on something more basic. That tutorial is one from the JK2 Editing files released by Raven when JO was first released. It covers everything you need to do in very good detail.

Read through it carefully, make sure you follow it closely.

That is THE tutorial on skinning... if its not specific enough you're skipping something.




It would also help if you actually gave some more details on what's not working. "It doesn't work" just doesn't work when you need help.
Did you update the .skin file?
Did you use standard compression on the jpg images?
Did you pack the pk3 right?
