Cool, I'm "saberworks" over at svrider.com. I recently bought an 03 SV650 to replace my ninja. Mine turns over and was $3500. I really like the bike. Hope you can get your issues sorted out and get on the road soon. You didn't say whether you got the "S" model or not (hum, actually looks like maybe they didn't make an "S" version in 2000, weird). Since I don't have it, I'll show the 2000 version first and then the 2003 version:

Um... it's a helluva lot more comfortable than my ZX-6R was. My wife doesn't complain, but we don't take really long trips, I think the longest we've gone is about 15 miles. Can't make an informed opinion with so little 2-up time on this bike.
