I'm just curious whether or not Massassi is primarily IE, as the general population still is right now.

For the forums:

Firefox: 60.3% (40% FF2, 16% FF3, 4% etc)
IE: 30.1% (24.5% IE7, 5.3% IE6)
Opera: 4.7%
Safari: 2.8%

I was swayed to firefox since the last vote, RC1 at the moment.
nope.

Firefox.

For things that need clearing cookies & everything right after I'm done with them (paying bills etc.), Opera.

I could have told you it isn't primarily IE without a poll or stats. I doubt any site with moderately tech-inclined visitors is.

I use IE for Massasi, Firefox for everything else.

FF @ work.
IE @ home.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Opera
Occasionaly i use FF.
I only use IE to test webpages I build.

Same here... when will it end? Nowadays I build a main version of the page that works in all standards compliant browser, then I have to painstakingly coax two other versions out of it for IE7 and IE6, soon to be three with IE8.

Firefox 3 for normal use.
IE for some IE only things.
Lynx+fbi for text only browsing. (when I want to feel 1337 or when I break x...)

Does anyone use Netscape? Apparently Netscape 9 is like a Firefox clone, with full(?) compatibility with Firefox extensions.

Wow, this poll is ridiculously one-sided.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

That's because Konqueror is a piece of crap and doesn't count.

To be fair, Konqueror ranked pathetically low on the actual forum stats. So low, in fact, that I'd venture to guess that gbk was the only one using it >.>

I honestly don't know anyone that uses IE.
Even people who know nothing about their computers don't use IE, because I or someone else they know installed Firefox on their pc and told them to use that.

I use FF3 primarily.

Opera seems to have gone downhill since they got bought out. Lots more bloat but much less control and compatibility. There are still a number of things it just handles.. strangely.. or dumbly. For one it tends to get in infinite forward-refresh loops for authenticated logins [eg on my credit union site].

Make it handle https better and comply more to w3 and I'd be back all over it. FF makes me hate myself sometimes for the number of oft-conflicting/outdated plugins that I need to get a lot of what Opera had built in.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Firefox 3, by the way. It's pretty :awesome:

No it doesn't. Safari is blindingly fast for one thing. It's also the only web browser on windows to not use the fugly system font rendering. I don't use it as my standard browser because it's not very extensible, but whenever I do use it (usually for testing sites) I'm always blown away by how fast everything loads and how pretty the typography looks. I imagine all webkit browsers perform similarly.

Actually, I use Firefox for most things.

But I may have to start using Konqueror now, just to screw up your stats.

FF2.

3 doesn't have support for the del.icio.us bookmarks plugin yet, which I can't live without.

I voted for opera out of habit but just realized that for the past few months I've been using firefox because adblockplus rocks and the ad blocking in opera sucks (really, really bad).

Cripes, man, a web browser is a portal to the Internet, not a Mrs Potato Head. Sure, a couple addons can be really useful, but I really gain no flaccidity in my e-peen if one day my addon to make every page a myspace login goes away..
