Mass Effect
Spore
Bassoon, n. A brazen instrument into which a fool blows out his brains.

Apparently this is old news, but I'm sure there are still people around here who aren't planning on buying these games because of it.

Man this game is awesome. It's amazing what a difference AA make though. Now all we need are some better texture packs.

I'm pretty sure we covered the nixing of the dumb copy protection in the original thread so...you fail, reading comprehension, etc...

On the other hand we can turn this into a thread about PC Mass Effect.

At least it didn't take almost three years like Halo 2 did.
2008-06-01, 1:58 PM #10
Actually, I'm pretty sure it'll still have the achievements.
2008-06-01, 2:02 PM #11
I don't think games for windows games have achievements that go onto your XboxLive

On the 360, Mass Effect has an in-game achievement browser thing. I'm assuming that's intact. Sure, it won't really boost your epeen score, but they're still there.

But I'm guessing, it's not even done installing.

Since I have had it for a few days I'll say that I haven't noticed any achievements.

You would have noticed one 20 minutes into the game when you finished Eden Prime.

Kind of lame that they killed Nihlus, I thought was shaping up to be a pretty cool character.

eden prime is the worst name for a planet ever.

it's generic sci-fi. with a name like eden prime it's either going to be a glorious paradise world that gets destroyed before the outset of the game or it's really sarcastic, and the world itself is dark and miserable and for some reason is always raining.

Actually sentiet robots rain death and hell on it within the first 10 seconds of the game.

You were really close.

according to my dictionary I was spot-on. :colbert:
2008-06-01, 4:38 PM #18
No they're there. Options > Achievements.

They would have had to stay in the game because that's how you unlock non-class abilities for subsequent games.

Well it wasn't a glorious paradise in game. It was just one of a few successful colonies on the fringes of known space.
