I want a good pair of headphones, for around 100 Australian (60 US), with a chunky cable that wont break anywhere, and a boom mic.

Any ideas?

How long do you want them to last? I know of a 17 dollar pair, that were AMAZING, but only lasted 6 months.

I have the headphone only version of them, Sith, and i can say that the cable, while not being chunky, holds up very well. the headphones themselves are also very good.

Sennheiser's multimedia headset line. The pro gaming ones are reguarded as being the best gaming headsets, with excellent, well balanced sound and a high quality mic. I think they have USB and non USB versions of the highest end model, and according to Maximum PC, they got better volumes with non USB, so no loss there.

Just last night I asked my mate (who's studying sound engineering) about good headphones for mixing down recorded music on the computer, and right away he said sennheiser.
