i guess maybe tell them youre from fyad and maybe they will let you shoot things and stuff it depends on where you are but i bet they let you because of your posting style right?

if you were asking the question seriously i would say look for gunshops with firing ranges these shops usually have gun rentals

Come to Texas... You can shoot just about anywhere outside of a city limit here with whatever weapon you want. As long as you don't hit anyone (anyone innocent of crimes) the most you'll get is a 'YEEEE HAW' or a 'F*** YEAH!' from whoever is nearby.

Gun shops with ranges usually rent weapons. Here in Utah I would rather go to Skull Valley or past Eagle Mountain and shoot at whatever the **** I want instead of dealing with mall ninja types.

You can rent machine guns at most if you are wiling to shell out for ammo.

Yeah. Cops in California will really love it if you mention that you have a handgun in the car. That's a good way to get out of a ticket.

Er. You can't legally buy a gun in most states if you're not a citizen. A range might let you fire one, on the range, though.

1. it's friggin expensive (like $500 with a $250 renewel every 2 years IIRC)
2. next to impossible to get one ("good cause" and "good moral character" requirements = they can make up whatever reason to deny it)
3. permits from other states are not accepted

plus spe is british... a carry permit would not apply to him

Getting a CCW permit in CA is difficult, but not impossible, although it is expensive. I know several folks who have a permit, though I know far more people who applied and were denied.

If spe comes visit me, I'll let him shoot my guns at stuff (like JG's new car).

depends on the gun... naturally something like a desert eagle would cost more to rent than some cheap .22 and if they rent full auto it will cost the most

and ammo... also depends .22LR is the cheapest... you could get enough ammo to spend a full day shooting for around $5... if you went big and reached for the .50AE desert eagle or the S&W 500 you could spend big bucks on ammo ($2 per round average for .500S&W no idea for .50AE)

also keep in mind if it's an indoor range you'll likely find they only rent handguns

Also keep in mind that shooting a desert eagle makes you automatically impotent due to overcompensation.

i want to spend a full day firing as many different guns as possible because its not like chances to do it come up often when you live in a country where the word gun is almost illigal

Don't forget to get the full redneck range, either, especially in texas. You need to fire a 12 gauge shotgun, both slugs and buckshot or birdshot, you need to fire some big hunting rifles, bolt action, semi-auto, and lever action. ;)

You'll be given your handgun when you get off the plane. Other guns you might have to track down on your own. :)
