i got 2 left and everyone else should have 10 (i guess).

let us know what you guys think too.
too early for me to tell really but i signed up 4 or 5 months ago for a beta invite and i've been waiting to try it. it seems to get good reviews from some of the tech pundits.

edit; i haven't checked the settings yet but it resized the photos i uploaded. maybe to make them smaller (or it's a default setting).

online storage. it's got a nice drag and drop interface and keeps backups of modified files/pics so you can revert etc.

I have 10 invites if anyone needs one. One neat thing about this is once it's out of beta, the free accounts are likely only going to get 1 GB of space. With a beta account you get 2 GB and you get to keep it even after it officially launches.

This is going to be great once school starts up again in September. I keep all my work on the CS servers, but I also have local copies on whichever computers I use to work on stuff. Now I can just work out of the dropbox folder and I'll have an on-the-fly backup going.

An awesome feature would be to have it sync over a LAN if there is an active machine with an updated file. Although I guess checking for the file on local machines would cause a significant performance hit, it would definitely be worth it for larger files, and save dropbox alot of bandwidth.

Unfortunately dropbox content is also subject to the patriot act, which sucks in principle but shouldn't affect me in practice. It probably prevents me from using it for certain work and school projects, however.
