There was an added bonus of a Pixar short to begin the movie, I really liked it :D

First of all, holy crap the 3d in wall•e was good.

very vague character spoilers follow. VERY vague.

The way they gave life to the robots was awesome. Each robot had its own distinct personality and function in the movie. The reliance on gesture to portray that was really amazing.

Anyway, awesome movie. go see it NOW!

I plan on seeing it at a time when the theater won't be filled with a hundred screaming children.

Looking forward to the movie, not looking forward to the months and months of people ages 5 - 25 making reference to it (see: Finding Nemo.)

People made references to Finding Nemo?
You can't judge a book by it's file size
2008-06-27, 11:27 PM #7
Yes. If I have to hear "just keep swimming" or "squishy" references any more, there will be blood.

I've never heard any references like that...

Also hello Bruce.

Wall-E doesn't really have much dialog, and the dialog it has isn't really quotable, so I doubt you'll have that reference problem...

Anyway it was really cute and I liked it, although it had a couple problems... like how people on a ship with artificial gravity still had bone loss... and how the ship tilted...

My friends make references all the time to that movie. I've been guilty of it myself sometimes...>_>

Bone loss from sitting around all the time and doing nothing :P

as for the ship tilting thing. I believe they made a few exceptions for physics already before that :P

Wall*E was EPIC, that is all. Also, the short at the beginning was the best Pixar short yet.
Think while it's still legal.

That was amazing. Definitely one of their best.

I missed the beginning of it, but it was like Portal + Gob Bluth. I approve.

I saw it and it was really good and cute

So was the short film, it did a great job of recapturing the slapstick of old cartoons without coming off as cliched and unoriginal

Really great movie. I find it sad that the animated movies (Kung Fu Panda, Wall E) are better than most live action movies nowadays...

EEEEVUH!
PLANT!

And I loved it.

It was really cute and enjoyable... the voice acting (or the little of it that there was) was well done (esp. Eve's I thought)

The only thing that sorta threw me off is that I started to miss human beings after the first 1/3rd of the movie ... I dunno if that was the writers' intentions (emphasizing the empty barren world) or what but I was internally longing to see a real human interact with a character.

And for those of you who say there isn't much quotable dialog: see Veger's post.

Did any one find it odd how well the inclusion of live action on all of the recordings fit so well?

It was neat how they criticized consumer behavior, but they made the people willing to change. They actually did wake up after the wool was removed from their eyes.
