He was a fair conservative, willing to politely discuss his opinions. He took a massive pay cut to serve as the President's Press Secretary, a job I think he performed with a certain charisma and flair that set him above all former and probably will never be equaled. I will miss him.

There is a nice retrospective video in the link provided.

I always thought Dana Perino was so set up for failure having to take over for him when he resigned. He was always so optimistic and hopeful, a great role model for others facing such terrible diseases. He was so respected by colleagues, politicians, liberals, and conservatives alike, regardless of political opinion differences.

Sad to see that we have lost two great news media figures this year although, unfortunately, Mr. Snow is not such the surprise that Mr. Russert was.

She was set up for failure because she's dumb as a brick.

I don't agree with Tony Snow's opinions, but it's always sad when someone fights with such a tough disease, only to die at such a young age. My heart goes out to him and his family.

He was no Ari Fleischer. Sad though. :(

His mother passed away from the same type of cancer when he was 17 so I doubt the left had much to do with it. Still, I'm sure there are many in those type of circles that will celebrate his passing. Sad since he was so liked by people from all sides of the political spectrum.

No it is not. No one wins from dying from cancer.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I'm reading a thread like this over in SA and jesus ****, GBS is vicious. Comments like "Rot in Hell, Tony, you and your worthless neoconservative ideology. The world is a better place without you."

I ****ing hate politics right now and that's sad. I think politics can be a great thing. But everyone is soooo bitter and angry and spiteful that people wish horrific death with those who don't agree with their thoughts.

Truth :colbert:
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

I don't really think that has so much to do with politics. With the alternative media that is in existence today, those who would voice such opinions now have a forum.
