And I havent seen either of them [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

What are your thoughts? Is it worth seeing. Im sure there are good action and stunts but it isnt to crouching tiger hidden dragon fake is it? That movie defines chinese fake action. I want to be sure 1 is worth renting. My uncle loved it which scares me slightly because he is known to get some pretty terrible selections moviewise. Anywho i'll stop rambling. What do you think?

Not the greatest movies ever, but still very good. I'd recommend renting both of them.

Kill Bill is freaking brilliant. The only reason I didn't buy any of them yet is because I want to buy all 900 billion different box sets when they come out.

Oh and BTW Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is one of the best movies ever.

Kill Bill is nothing like CTHD, it's more of a spoof on those films, but with more of a plot and more serious action. it's humurous because it's serious and cheesey and ITS AWESOME SEE IT NOW!

Both are awesome.

I didn't enjoy Kill Bill enough to see the sequel. It was entertaining at times but personally I'm getting bored with his films.

I personally found the plot to that movie to be pretty boring. The fights were a different story. Those could be pretty cool.

The second one was much better than the first in terms of diologue and stuff. Still violent, but it didn't rely on the action nearly as meuch.

I never saw Vol. 2.

Vol. 1 was awesome, I just didnt have time to go see Vol. 2... well that and my girlfriend didnt want to see it.

Seriously, Vol. 1 was worth seeing just for the scene with Lucy Liu at the Boss Conference.

I liked both Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction (and I even thought From Dusk 'Till Dawn was kind of neat) but I didn't like Kill Bill much.

Guns and explosions are cool and all, but the level of gore in this movie *really* bothered me. I thought I was totally desensitized until I saw Kill Bill. There's also lot of attempts at humor that mostly fail (the only part I laughed at was those two guys in Okanawa who were always yelling and throwing knives). And then there's this huge plot hole: it took the bride 13 (?) hours to regain the use of her legs and we're supposed to believe that during that time, nobody noticed the two dead bodies in her room, or the fact that she had gone missing. Huh?

Crap. Topical pop culture crap. In 10 years the movie won't make any god damned sense because everybody will have forgotten the source of all of his god awful references.

I just thought it was purely entertaining! And the refereces to old-sKoOl martial arts will still be fairly obvious in a decade John...

And, I mean, what was the point of bleeping out her name for the entire movie until Bill says it? And they never showed Bill's face in the first film, but they show it within the first 20 seconds of the second. What was the point? Tarantino wasn't even dramatic about their unveiling, it just happened randomly. He did it just to sell tickets to the second one. What a hack.

Well sounds like fairly good recomendation so far.

I've seen the first one and will see the second soon. But naturally a TV comercial for the DVD showed Bill's face. Not that it matters since I'm sure Jon`C speaks the truth.

It's a desired taste. You honestly have to see it to like it, or to hate it. Either way, you will get enjoyment out of either one.

[Note: Haven't seen 2nd, renting it tomorrow morning]

I'll probably rent it. The action scenes were alright in Kill Bill Vol. 1, but I don't what was so special about the plot and dialoge.
By the way, does the DVD include the mission fight scene involving a black guy and Bill?

Yes, see the movies. Two of the best movies out of the [asst two years. Personally, I though Volume 2 was brilliant, while Volume 1 was very good. It is the former that has the Tarantino dialogue, and more character development. Volume 1 has the action. Combined, they form an amazing picture, but I think Pulp Fiction to be better.
