I think what you mean is "how are any other threads still alive, when there's this one?"

The denizens of Massassi gravitate towards threads that don't require them to think to post. Hence the threads that are most popular are the ones that are going to get locked, the "hi I'm new" ones, the "post your postcount" threads, and "what are you listening to right now?" threads.
