I really enjoyed Dark Knight and I was lucky to see it on Imax. Its kind of crazy the issues they had to go through just to handle that amount of data created by the Imax cameras.

I need to go see it again but for the most part I really couldnt tell what was a visual effect or digital. :neckbeard:

I'm on dialup right now so I didn't check your links, but the only thing in that whole movie that I wanted to know if it was real or fake was flipping that truck over its nose. While thats 'possible' it would have been an amazing stunt to pull off. I've only seen the movie once, but I'm not so sure it wasn't fake.

They did that for real. Im sure it wasnt JUST the truck that did it, but it wasnt a digital effect.

Something like the helicopter crash was done digitally though.

That was real. There's even a you tube video of it somewhere from a different angle.

Out of curiosity,

What was with the once scene with the batpod where the guns seem to rotate around the wheel as it skidded onto the road from the alley. It was the one where the Joker says "Now there's a batman."

A: What was the purpose. To move stuff out of the way? to look cool? I never saw that happen in any other scene.

B: Was it real or digital?

It looked pretty real to me :P But I don't know how they would have done it.

The Batpod works but one of those links they talk about it. I think effects like it turning around on the wall or action speedy shots of it were done digitally.

This is off-topic and grammar nazi-ish, but Veger, your signature is really grating.

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere how difficult it was to ride the batpod.

Well have you ever tried sliding a single wheel sideways?

They tend to fall over, so I guess that was a way of the bike not falling on his leg.

Also am I the only person that thought the Batpod looked ultraflimsy as hell?
nope.

i thought it would be extremely easy to catch up with and tip batman over on the batpod

Compared to other comic book movies released this year, I think Dark Knight used the least CG?
