I recently beaten it for the 6th or 7th time. To this day, I still consider it one of the best game ever made. The dialoge is memorable and the plot twists are great, but never to the pont of ludicrousness (compare to MGS 2's story, which felt more like a sci-fi thriller then a military thriller). The music was also very fitting and the graphics pushed the Playstation. It was also the first game that I have ever played to featured excellent voice acting. David Hayter (Solid Snake) and Clam Clarke (Liquid Snake) will always be my top two favorite voice actors. So anyone esle share similar feelings towards MGS as myself? I'm eagerly anticipating Snake Eater.

Oh man...I remember the hours I would spend at my friend's watching him play. I don't know what it was about him, but the way he played games was perfect. It was like watching a movie unfold. So my first experience with it was like watching a movie. Intense.

Or the Claymores or C4. Or grenades if you have good timing.

MGS is definately one of my all time favourite games, quite likely having sucked up hundreds of hours of my life add to the other games like MGS2 and the oddly named GBC title (Ghost Babel?).

I still think it's stupid that getting the second ending hinges on how fast you can tap a button.

meh, i hear the otocon ending is better. Let Meryl die, she was a bimbo anyway. the Meryl ending is boring too, she just yacks her head off.

Yeah, the Otacon ending is better, but I believe the Meryl ending is supposed to be the 'true' ending.

Oh, and I should mention that MGS and MGS2 are also responsible for some great OC Remixes.

It's suppose to simulate the toture Snake is going through. If you played with the Dual Shock controller, Naomi would tell you to put the controller up against your arm and make it vibrate to make it feel "better".

I been digging around and I found some information on David Hayter (Solid Snake).
He wrote the screen play for "X-Men", "X-2", and "Scorpion King". He's currently working on one for Iron Man. He also appeared in X-men as one of the museum cop.
Cam Clarke does a hell of alot of voices. What surprises me though is that he was the voice of Leonardo in the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series.

I knew that Leonardo was one of the voices he did. There are a ton of stuff he did for cartoons. Basically, if it sounds like Leo from the original TMNT, its probably him.

And MGS is cool. Funny, I did the Meryl ending first. My brothers always complained I was a bit of a button masher( too many years using Blanka in Street Fighter II)
