a cop pulling up my driveway in a Dodge Charger. Our driveway has 2 stone pillars at the end and that car is pretty wide. Needless to say I was confused as to why a cop was reversing up our "treacherous" driveway.

The cop got out of his car and explained he was following some suspicious looking guys and needed to hide his car so they wouldnt see that he was following. (They were down the block to the left I guess)

About a minute later he peeled out and rocketed down the road to chase them down. That car sounds like a beast. I dont know what came of it, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Campus police for where I went to school uses Chargers. They also had unmarked, black Chargers which were really, really hard to tell they were cop cars (no bigass antennas on the top, civilian plates, no easily visible lights anywhere). Ours looked a lot more intimidating I think though. One on the front page here.

Yea the black helps. Ours have those beastly push bars up front too. Those make them look nice and scary.

They also have Magnums that they use for their K9 units, lol. And bigass SWAT vans, for a campus police department. They have too much money, needless to say.

Damn, our campus police just have Segways >_<

Our's have bikes.

And they take 15 to 20 minutes average to respond to calls.

Freaking rent-a-cops.

Well, they're also full-fledged metro police officers that have been selected from the metro police department. They still have the same jurisdiction as a metro police officer if it's necessary for them to respond to something off-campus, so I guess that gives them a little more reason to have fun toys.

I was on a campus a few weeks ago that had M16s, 9mms, 45 caliber handguns, sniper rifles, jeeps, SUVs, vans, two helicopters, a tank, fully automatic turrets, and grenades.

It was an advanced police training academy.

State troopers in the Carolinas use Chargers, and for some reason the tiny town my last co-op was in got their hands on some as well.

The sheriff's office has chargers here. It's pretty standard for cop cars. But the I think the state police, in addition to the chargers, also have some Toyota thing, and I know the sheriff himself has a kicking caddy.

we have 2 chargers in our area, i think both are sheriff interceptors

we have 4 or 5 impalas though

I don't believe Dodge puts superchargers on the hemi although I'm not a big fan so I don't know for sure. I can't think of too many police vehicles that would have been supercharged, maybe the few Taurus SHO that were used a long time ago. Still, just depends on if it is a factory option or not.

I've seen a white V8 Magnum totally stealth with tinted windows and the only hint it was a service vehicle were very low profile light bars inside at the base of the windows. If I wasn't obsessed with muscle cars I wouldn't even had noticed. I wonder how many hot shots pull up next to a car like that and want to race.

Nope. Most (all?) city/DOT fuel pumps only have 87, so I could see how having a s/c might be a problem for many agencies.
