While I don't think Obama would be the best thing for the US, it'd be terrible if an attempt was made on his life. Either way, I think this guy is bonkers and wouldn't have actually done it. His quote didn't seem like it, and if he was going to do something like that I doubt he'd joke about it in class.

Also, is that really enough cause to search through your hotel room and truck?

You know just the title of this thread has probably brought some FBI detail to the massassi grounds.

A friend of mine knows someone in the government or some such, but she said that some government officials in the FBI or NSA or something made a bet that Obama will be killed by someone in the south within a year and a half or a year of him taking office.

This was heard at a reunion party with elementary school friends, so I don't have specific details :P.

Stating directly that you'll assassinate someone if he's elected President? Yeah, regardless of the circumstances, they'll always take that very seriously.

There's debate that Lincoln's doctors may have actually killed Lincoln. When I mean "killed," I mean poor treatment, but, nonetheless, if Lincoln survived, he would be in very poor condition.
