I know a few of your were a bit unsure about the Watchmen trailer, and how the film will translate from print to film. This article popped up in google reader, and it definitely has eased some of my doubts. And it has the best headline ever.

I'm glad they're trying to take the approach they are, but I'm not going to automatically think they'll manage it successfully. They said it themselves that it's a very thin line, and the response from even smart audiences can be unpredictable (which isn't even to take into account "trying to please everyone").

I'll remain cautiously optimistic.

Considering the last studio wanted to set it in modern times, I think we should probably be thankful someone this competent is working on the film. I'm still skeptical, but I'm also apologetic. I don't think it's going to meet my expectations, but if I take a step back, I'm hoping it's just a damn good film.

That said, Moore's a grumpy old *******, and I don't like his attitude at all.

And you know... I like the film version of V for Vendetta a lot more than the graphic novel. Watchmen is many times better, but still...
