After a chat with SC, Jim7, and genk, we all came to like the newest explosion produced by Canada's own Toronto, most likely due to kyle90 performing experiments involving propane tanks.

The sad thing is one firefighter was killed during this event.

Language warning

I still like it further away, as seen in this video around 1:50

So post your favorite explosions.

thats pretty amazing.

About 2 or 3 years ago there was an explosion at hamstead heath petrol works.

It was over 100 miles away.

I was in bed with my gf at the time, and at 2:00 am ish there was a tremor followed a rumble outside. I s*at my pants i thought it was armagedon.

This one, since while I was playing through I had no idea something like this was about to happen. BIG spoiler for a Call of Duty 4 set-piece.

I loved that whole mission...one of the best sequences in gaming ever, leading up to and including that.

Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie Buy it here.

90 minutes documenting the development and testing of the atomic/nuclear bomb. Archival footage of atomic and nuclear explosions, set to classical orchestra music, and narrated by William Shatner. A very good time.
