Well, the fever is a result of bone marrow from her broken bone entering her bloodstream and entering her heart, killing her.

The lines in that image are interesting... I like how they're sharp on the outsides of shapes, but soft on the inside. How did you make this image?

Use of the magic wand tool on the outside white parts probably to remove it from something like a crappy background.
