After checking the Zelda Wiki after JG's mention of the series on the RPG thread, I stumbled upon the section on Majora's Mask and had a rush of nostalgia.
Majora's Mask had (I thought) the deepest and most compelling plot of all the Zelda games (since it deviated from the standard Link wanders around Hyrule on a quest to defeat Ganondorf) and the fact that all the events of the game went on, even if you weren't there, at specific times during the 3-day cycle, was just cool as hell. It was definitely the least linear and least railroading of the games, especially in comparison to *cough* Twilight Princess *cough*
The main reason I miss this game is that after I got an all-clear with ALL the masks (including the Couple's Mask which was the most frustrating thing in the world) and the Fierce Deity's mask, I brought the game over to a friend's house and LOST it there (or perhaps someone stole it), and I never saw it again That was like the last time I ever got 100% complete on a game.
Anyways, post your stories of meaningful missed games of days gone by. And not JK.
