If only I could dig up 5k for a decent telescope to look at them with =(


I love astronomy but I just can't justify the price of it. I'm not THAT into it.

i am very into this, i may be able to get access to a telescope that has a camera attachment for it. i will see if i can post a few pictures, if i can use the telescope.

damn, it is just too damn cloudy these days here, and i even have a planetary imager (which is pretty much a comercial version of an adapted toucam, which is a popular homebrew telescope imager in the astrophotography comunity), though I do have a very sweet video of the moon.

i managed to get some images of venus, unfortunately, the viewing conditions here make near horizon viewing quite crappy, and the proximity of venus meant that I was unable to see all three of the planets. when i get the images transfered over, I will show you them.
