I'd never walk down the street with one, but I'm thinking of getting one to use in the car. So, if anyone has any suggestions for one that's good and cheap, feel free to share.

Thanks

i'm gonna say sorta. and yes its great to have in the car.

i recently got this one when it was newegg's shell shocker a month or two ago. it seems to work rather well. plus, i spotted one very similar in last weeks burn notice.

Not too bad in the car. An absolute sin anywhere else.

Sometimes they suck in the car because either they can't hear your or you can't hear them.. I only use mine when my hands are tied up, but I never take it in public or wear it around. People at the office I work at use them all the time but they use their phones a lot.

Yeah there are a couple of people in sales at work that wear theirs all day. That's understandable, even though they still look stupid.

Thanks Ford, I'll keep that one in mind.

MAD BLING SON!!!!

Got mah 22's, muh fake chain, nd rockin my bluetooth YA SMELL MEEE!?!

Seriously, I liked them before they became the new ghetto social status tool. I use one only when I drive since cellphone+stickshift=fail. I really hate the sound quality of most bluetooth headsets though, and certainly would not spend the outrageous price to get a Jawbone.

What I can't stand is ghetto idiots at my workplace who wear them WHILE working, and never get reprimanded for it, but are obviously slacking majorly due to gabbing instead of doing their ****ing job.

No, Mobile+driving=fail.
nope.

Just to clarify, the poll isn't supposed to refer to use while driving. I just wanted to re-affirm my personal opinion. You guys didn't disappoint.

It's pretty much a necessity to have one for my job. Otherwise it'd be very difficult to get anything while talking on the phone to clients at the same time. Don't really use it other than work and driving though. I've got a crappy Motorola one that I definitely can't recommend. Probably gonna replace it with a Jawbone fairly soon.

I could use a better one for telecommuting. The one I have isn't very great. Nice for wandering around the house during long meetings.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Get the Jabra JX10. Not bulky, fits really well, good call quality. I always need a good bluetooth with an ear hook.

I hate those damn things. I purposefully got rid of mine so I can continue to use the excuse 'I don't like holding the phone when I drive...' because my dad is always calling me for no reason.

I'll keep that one in mind, but it's quite a bit more than I really want to spend.

Also, if anyone has any experience using these with glasses, let me know. I could imagine that being a problem with some.

Yeah I don't think it makes you look cool or anything to wear them in public. Those agent wire things do make you look a bit cool though.

It depends on the design. Some are big, blocky monstrosities, others are small and sleek.
