You know, all I can say is they've done wonders with actors in the last two, I'm wondering what they can do with cher.

Depp as the riddler sounds interesting.
2008-08-29, 11:07 PM #8
Er, I thought I just read an article where Nolan said that the Riddler would never be in the new Batman series...?

the riddler seems like he would be a more likely choice than say penguin or something.

We all know a Mr. Freeze/Poison ivy duo would work best with Nolan's version.

Ew.

Haha

But then again, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight had this "Star Wars" and "The Empire Strikes Back" style of quality in them so if the next movie is gonna be the "Return of the Jedi" of the Nolan trilogy... dear God. This wouldn't be surprising then.

And Sam Raimi said he'd never do Venom.

Riddler and Catwoman would be an interesting combo, since neither are truly bad.

Cher? Is this joke?

45% of her body is over 90 years old.
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

If they ever talk about doing the Riddler apparently David Tennant would be very interested in the part.

Which could be quite good considering he does that sort of character well.
nope.

I doubt the next movie has even approached the casting stages yet, let alone the screenplay stages of pre-production. Besides, The Riddler played by Depp just seems to fall too much in line for fan choices to be real. Even though the Cher/Depp story has been floating around for a few weeks now, I doubt its validity.

That's because it's a retarded rumor that was debunked two days ago. Old news.

Why do people consider penguin out of the question? A slick talking arms dealer?

My ideal is Penguin, Catwoman, and Bane.

I thought Nolan said that the next would NOT contain any of the more popular villains from the rogue gallery, but that it would some more like Rhas al Gul or however the heck you spell that.

good lord i wish they would re-do bane, the last batman movies disgraced him :( he is suposed to be a really brilliant dangerous guy, not the bumbling oaf he was portrayed as!!!! :rant:

They already had him in Batman Begins. He *could* still be alive, but I don't think he is in the Nolan-universe.

Err... nevermind, that's why you said "someone like."

Nolan is still on vacation, he hasn't even talked to the studio about 3. This is a joke, you've all been Cher-rolled.

Pretty much what fishstickz said. Nolan is on vacation and WB (unlike Fox) isn't pushing him to begin making the third Batman movie.

Hmm... I wonder if they only did Joker because they were sorta "locked into" him with the end of Begins...

2008-08-30, 5:10 PM #29
Nolan never plans sequels, he just focuses on his current movie at the time. The Joker thing at the end of BB was just a little nudge to the fans more than a setup.
