Are you ****in' kidding me??

This is BAD year to be any kind of celeb.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Argh, I actually remember wondering recently if it was always the same guy that does that kind of stuff. A sad day indeed.

In a world without Don LaFontaine....who will take the mantle and rise up to become the next movie trailer voice guy?

Yeah what's with 2008, all these celebrities are dying.
2008-09-02, 5:15 PM #15
Because celebraties are immortal and more than one dying in a year is insane...

:psyduck:

Do you see how long the obituary page is in newspapers - every day? Even local papers have daily obituaries. Would you be saying "Damn it's a bad year to live in this town! People dying everyday!"

It's sad he died, I respect his work and I'll miss his voice - but some of you are a little overdramatic about the celebrity deaths lately.

I don't know, do a google search for celebrity deaths in 2007, 2006, etc.

To me, many notable people have died every single year. Granted its subjective as to what people consider a notable death - but every year seems to have the shockers as well (Steve Irwen, John Ritter, etc)

Exactly. When you think about how each year more and more people are given "celebrity" status, this is only the beginning. In 10 or 15 years we'll need an entire television station dedicated to reporting on "celebrity" deaths.

Palin: Not on your life. If it was good enough for Don LaFontaine, its good enough for me and I'll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.

Fixed.
