For the record, this is my second-most used swear after watching cartoons on some random saturday. The Ninja Turtles where on, and I was like "What the frak did he just say? No way...Raphael just said 'What in the shell'".

Needless to say, I was mortified >.>

Frak just sounds too much like frick for me to ever consider it a real enough curse word to just blurt out when I'm angry.

I do use that word occassionally, sadly. I use "smeg" far, far more often, however. :(
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

***

I use it way too much though, I should really cut back. It's just such a great word. It's a superb adjective, awesome verb, ok adverb, perfect exclamation.....

I really thought that was going to be an article on how "Frak" should be censored on tv.

Uh... f*** is derived from a sexual act, a** is derived from a butt, there is also s***, c***, and d***.

I fail to see how smeg is grosser than any of those.

I'm pretty sure "****" is derived from Anglo-Saxons, and *** is derived from a donkey.

There's lots of theories where it was derived from. Major English dictionaries say that it is derived from the anglosaxons. Personally I don't care. :hist101:

I don't say frak, but I do still use "gorram" or "gorram it" in day to day language.

A guy at work keeps saying it each time his lousy code throws an exception. Makes me feel like stuffing his face into the keyboard, it might improve the code quality.

I don't use frak, not because it's nerdy, but because it's stupid.
Besides, if I'm going to swear, I'm going to do it properly
