Grand Theft Auto can save lives

Quote:
The girl, Audrey Plique, and her family were driving to visit family on August 27th. Around 9 P.M., Audrey’s father began to get light-headed. His unease led to striking a guardrail and flipping their Jeep Cherokee four times into a ditch. Audrey called the accident a “scary experience,” and I would happen to call it a “nightmare.”

While her family hung in their belt buckles, suffering from injuries, Audrey was immediately alert and sought help after dragging her mother out of the vehicle. Audrey’s mother claims that the reason her daughter was so alert was a direct result of the lesson that Grand Theft Auto teaches us – overturned cars catch on fire and detonate catastrophically.

I learned that lesson quite well from doing the ambulance missions in San Andreas. Driving that ambulance was such an annoyance...

That's why I like GTAIV, they don't do that unless you shoot them.

This was posted on another forum I go to and I'll just echo the sentiments there: Cars usually do not spontaneously catch on fire and explode when tipped over, it doesn't require a video game for someone's instincts to say "gtfo now", it's damn lucky none of them had spinal injuries and were then paralyzed from being moved, video games do not make murderers or saints.

Sure they do.

Yeah, I just said that.

This may just be a test to see how many people have me on ignore

I think this is a good example of how someone can do exactly the right thing for a fairly foolish reason.
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

This sounds like a thread Spook would reply to.

Too bad I have him on ignore.

If Grismath doesn't have me on ignore, he'll see this.

Wait how will I know who has me on ignore if I have the entire forum on ignore?

Now you understand why all my posts are irrelevant

I kind of liked them catching on fire.

what I didn't like was that you couldnt ditch the damn things in GTA III. Full stops in a firetruck on fire (heh) going 80+ miles an hour are NOT easy. Especially not with 5 police cruisers and a helicopter on your ***.

I know.

It reminded me of highschool english class, when you'd have to proof read a partners essay for them. In the end they hand you back your paper with only one red period circled that shouldnt even have been there, (and evidence that they blatently skipped over your small gramatical errors), while you on the other hand, hand them back a blood red sheet of butchery.

Susan: "That's right Daniel, they're calling it the miracle simulator. Jake Ogardi of Tanada, a suburb of San Diego saw a car coming, he dived out of the way like the pedestrians in his favorite game, GTA."

Jake: "See, I's real safe driver cauz the pigs be on yo *** if you do run anybody over. A smart pedestrians jumps the **** out da way, you unnastand? The *****s who isn't alert be gettin ragdolled all over the goddamned place."

Susan: "Rockstar was unable to comment, but a second hand whiteness claims real safety stunt coordinators were hired for the video game motion capture sessions."

Anonymous Source: "Rockstar is really just trying to teach kids. It's their intent for years. It's like the cigarette companies, targeting the kids with safety."

Susan: "Will you threaten your children's lives by making them think their God makes cars talk and never hurt people like their cartoons do? Or will you save them and let them play on the savestation?"
