So I found this projector on Craigslist.

Quote:
Best quality (almost NEW !!) BENQ PB6200 Projector for sale !!

The original price: $1200
For sale: only $420!
Special sale : ONLY $395! (if you pick it up before September 12 ) ( First come first get ! )

This elegant BENQ Projector was bought for only 5 months!! and still in nearly NEW condition. ( We need to move to EU in all of a sudden. )
NO stain; Super powerful image quality;
Non-smoking and non-pet in our room. : )

Now assuming that it all checks out when I take a look at it, should I get it? It seems like comparable projectors are being sold somewhere in the $450-$500 range, so I could eventually recoup most if not all of the purchase price in a year or something, right? Does this seem like a good deal?

I don't know that much about projectors, but it would be neat to rig it up to watch movies in my apartment on a wall in my living room (with a bunch of couches and chairs) or on my bedroom ceiling (I would probably never leave :P).

Well it's a non-issue now: I convinced a club at school to purchase it. I will store it for most of the year when they're not using it. :cool:

Hell no. Why is that even your first assumption? :S Wishful thinking, Molgrew! It's for a Model United Nations conference we run. We spend ~$200 a year renting a projector for a weekend and a day. If we use this for even just two years, it will have paid for itself, since our student governance board doesn't let clubs draw interest on its money. I expect the club can use the projector for at least four years, so that's ~$400 in savings.
