Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it doesn't work. But when it doesn't work, it also does.

For example, Ctrl-Alt-Esc ALWAYS brings up task manager. Always works, always. But often, escape won't work to close a dialog box or dismiss a notice. This rules out a hardware issue. Rebooting seems to fix it sometimes, but not always.

It's a Logitech Wave keyboard with Logitech's drivers.

What gives?

Try uninstalling your drivers and using generic windows drivers.

If the problem still exists than you sir have some serious WTF on your hands.

Hah. I had a similar problem. Turns out it was a defective ATI driver.

lol thanks for the tip I never knew there was a shortcut for that. I always did control alt delete which is annoying because it minimizes everything.

Control+Alt+Esc brings up mIRC.
