Why don't Republicans know how to draw?
2008-09-14, 4:29 PM #1
Seriously, the only exception is the guy who draws "Mallard Fillmore." He's pretty good.

What is the deal, Republicans? Learning to draw takes nothing but hard work and discipline and you're supposed to be good at that. Come on.

Someone please help me figure this out

They can draw the American flag, and most can draw a cross
2008-09-14, 4:32 PM #3

I mean if you want examples of Republicans not drawing that's kind of hard
2008-09-14, 4:51 PM #7
Well presumably they've tried drawing... certainly there must be some examples on the Internet? This is just the first I've heard of it.

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

My mom is a Republican and she can draw. She even teaches other people to draw regardless of their political leanings.

I voted in the Republican primary this year, but I was unable to draw long before that.

I'm also not a republican, so I can't be used as an example.

However, this thread is pointlessly stupid.

Unrelated, but I'm quite sad that he's banned now. I disagree with him on almost everything, and he often infuriates me, but I still like him and I miss him now. :-(

It's just an example of this boards terrible leftist bias. We've got a ****-ton of democrats, a couple libertarians, and... wookie.

Haha, I'm always impressed by what constitutes as 'leftist' in America. Seriously, the rest of the world must seem like a socialist nightmare. American Libetarianism is pretty firmly right-wing.

If wookie was going to be banned for political bias reasons, it would've happened a long time ago.

I thought it was fairly well-known that libertarians are far right, even within America. I mean, Ron Paul was as minimal government as they come, and he ran for the conservative Republican ticket.

How can a group be far-right when it believes in gay marriage, abortion, strict separation of church and state, legalization of marijuana, isolationism, stricter controls on police, and legalization of prostitution, to name a few? Libertarians are social liberals and economic conservatives. They have even less in common with the current real power in the Republican party, the neocons. This is why classifying ideologies on a strictly left---right continuum doesn't work.

Note: I know individual libertarians may hold different views on any particular subject, I'm just giving examples of general libertarian causes.

But all of those beliefs stem from an adherence to minimal government, which is a fairly right-wing belief.

The right wing believes in minimal government when it comes to things like taxes, business regulation, and welfare programs. But they're more than happy to expand the powers of the police or use government to tell you who you can marry and what you can do to your body. Conservatives being "small government" logistically doesn't mean they don't use it to impose just as much regulation on people as the left wing does. The neocons of course aren't anywhere near small government, though.

To put it in an oversimplified way, the left wing uses the government to regulate socio-economic status, the right wing uses the government to regulate morality. Libertarians want them both to back off.
