Changing Firefox Keymaps
2008-09-17, 5:11 PM #1
I was wondering if anyone knew if there's a way to change the keymap settings in Firefox. Basically I find it annoying that when using CTRL+C/V to copy/paste text, and scrolling with my mouse wheel at the same time, that it resizes my text. This is the "Zoom" function under the "View" tab on the menu bar. I know the size can still be easily reset, but the fact that it happens in the first place is annoying. I looked around in the settings and attempted a Google search for how I might fix this and came across nothing.

Anyone who might be able to shine some light on this for me would be greatly appreciated! :)

I've done the same thing, but I just fix it quickly with ctrl+0.

With all intents of not being snippy -- couldn't you just let go of CTRL for a second while you scroll down?

try snooping in about:config by typing about:config in the address bar.

Well I also use the CTRL key as my talk key in Ventrilo, so that's another instance where it can happen. I'll check the about:config, but I really don't know what to look for.

mousewheel.withcontrolkey.action to 0
mousewheel.withcontrolkey.sysnumlines to true

to get there, navigate to about:blank and filter the word mouse or something
