Wikia offers nice free wikis, but only if you can convince them they are intended for a community project (which this obviously isn't). BUT. The system can be played, as evidenced here:

This kid got a wiki all to himself by linking to a proboards forum with 40 registered users (only about 3 or 4 active from what i can see) and his deviantart account. He also wrote some crap about how his forum is an "RPG" and a "web novel" even though nobody goes to it.

So I figure, I can do that right? So me and Grismath have a pro proboards board now and we need you guys to sign up on it please, to make it look populated so we can get a wiki

It'll be whatever wiki you install. There's a ton. Ask Kirby, he has one (modified the Wikipedia software I believe).

Mediawiki doesn't require any sort of root access. If you meant your wilkes account, it's terribly old and outdated and is not a proper account like the others on the server >.>

Then your webhost fails cause it doesn't require any sort of root access. Just FTP and a mysql db.

I dunno what a mysoquel db is, I think that's why it didn't work though

I'd love to--my only concern is whether the really convenient stuff, like infoboxes and automatic category pages and tables of contents and whatnot are included with the mediawiki software by default, or if they're something I would only get on Wikia.com
