I have not read any SW content in years, but I think it's called the Exteneded Universe. Pretty much all of it ties in together (tons of different authers but they pretty much go by each other) Me being a huge fett fan, I think Fett blew himself up (his armour protecting him for the most part) and then rescued by ... (I can totally visualize him now, that dope wirh the taliban headress thing) saved him, nursed him back to health (expects him to be nice to him but of course Fett ain't) and then goes on to do a bunch of bad *** stuff.

Dengar saves him. He has some nursing droids on that planet and they save his life. He tries to play the angle "I saved you life you owe me" but Fett is better than that and screws him over in the long run. I have all the books that go into all the details but it's been so long since I've cared. But bottom line is : Fett kicks ***

No, he didn't kill Dengar. He lets him life for that reason, I think. IIRC he let's him life for that reason, and that reason alone.

I think at that point every one believed him to be dead, his ship orbiting the planet under surveillance at which point he commands slave ii and sorta re-establishes himself later retaking slave i and so on. But during all this I think there was a fett imposter. I can't remember his name, but fett does team up with him at one point. obviously screwing him over eventually. There's a ton of books that go into this, but i've long dis-associated myself with star wars and can't remember it all.
