I just changed my Ringtone on my cell from 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins, which I've had for a few years, to Master Exploder by Tenacious D. Made me wonder what other people use as their ringtones. What do you all use, Marsearsei?

I used to use a song by a local band I like, but then I broke the phone, and now two phones later I've been to lazy to put something on (And verizon sucks too)

But I used to have a ringtone for girls (You're such a ***** and are making me a ******* is the chorus :)) by another band too... I actually got it on myxer search for *****es an bastards

ringbacks are even more so.

But I kinda agree with what your saying .. I hate all the 'popular' stuff people put on, like after BYOB from System came out EVERYONE had it. But in my case no one knows what the heck is playing, so I think it's ok.

My default ringer is the intro to Oh Well, covered by Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes on Live at the Greek. Other people have their own ringtones.

My ringtone is the "Encounter" song from Metal Gear Solid, the one that plays whenever you're on alert and the bad guys are looking for you.

My text message sounds is the little chord that plays whenever a guard is alerted and gets the "!" above his head, complete with "What was that noise?".

I use several, so depending on how I know you you'll set off a different ringtone (handy for ignoring calls from work...). I'm currently using Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits, Another Brick in the Wall (part 2), Comfortably Numb and Dogs by Pink Floyd, and Each Small Candle by Roger Waters. I even edited all of them down to about 30 seconds each so it just plays my favourite part from each song. I am aware of how sad that is.

Hate ringtones, find them obnoxious. I always just use vibrate. My current phone beeps once and then vibrates.

used to use the song Bolero from the closing credits of Moulin rouge, but then i destroyed the phone by throwing it at the ground.

i miss that ringtone.

now i just use some crappy ones that came with my phoen.

Mostly vibrate, but when it's audible it's the built-in "Sting".

During the first HvZ briefing, someone's phone went off with the Power Rangers communicator noise :P

Ringtone for anyone at the office: the Loony Tunes theme song
Ringtone for family members: Pink Floyd - Pigs on the Wing, part 1
Ringtone for business contacts: Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song


I use other ringtones to identify specific individuals, such as;
The original James Bond theme song
The intermission track from Monty Python & the Holy Grail
Hard Fought from the Half-Life 2 soundtrack
Tears for Fears - Everybody wants to rule the world
Pink Floyd - Money
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child (Slight Return)


I figure, I paid good money for Ringo Pro, I'm going to use it, kak damnit.
