Jedi Knight placed pretty good. Higher then it's successor, which made me very happy

AMEN to the arcade game. I love that game more than any other arcade game. It also doesn't eat quarters. I could beat the whole game on $2-$5.

The arcade game is badass. Best fps lightsabering ever.

And yeah, I'm glad JK came out on top, because I hate all these kids who are like "wuts jedi nite, JA iz so much betterrr!11!!"

Jedi Outcast as 4th? Eh? Empire at War?

Then again, it seems like every 1 good Star Wars game, there are 10 craptacular ones.

I'd like to know where X-wing alliance was in all of this. Personally I think even though it capitalizes on X-wing, it completely blows it away. Defenitely not better then tie fighter though thats for sure.

Okay, the top 4 I can understand. Jedi Outcast, for all its flaws, did have some amazing moments...

...but The Arcade Game? Rogue Squadron II? They put those above X-Wing and Dark Forces? Were they high?

I would personally place JK at #1, but that's probably because of my emotional affinity to it. TIE-Fighter and KotOR can legitimately claim to be better.

My former orthodontist's office had that arcade game and I played that almost every time I was there. It was great.

I havent played tie fighter but i think kotor and df2 are worthy of their places. DF2 should be no 1 though.
Take that there and put it in here

I loved the game too, but I think the fact that it was rushed and left unfinished left the game feeling a bit unpolished. The list is pretty good I think, but for me personally I would switch KotR for JK. I'm glad to see the arcade game made the list too; I thought it was very advanced when it came out.

Amen. I see that kind of talk all the time on GameFAQs when Star Wars games are brought up.

I don't see why KotR is always on top. I don't even like the game personally (It got dull after getting to Manaan and Korriban.)

Tie Fighter, never played it, but I'm certain it deserves it's place (seeing as how it was born in the era of LA pwning).

JK should be first. :P (DF should be there somewhere too. I don't see why it isn't..)

Suprisingly where I saw that the most was jediknightfiles.com. It made me puke in my mouth a little.

If you ignore JO's horrendous level design, terrible puzzle portions and various question gameplay ideas, the game was the first to make me feel like I was playing a Jedi. More so than Jedi Knight. And definitely more so than Force Unleashed. At least in JO and JA, my lightsaber actually felt like a lightsaber.

The thing about these lists is the only real reason they're made is to get publicity. If they hadn't made this list would we be linking to tomshardware.com? Probably not.

Given that, it's in their best interests to make a few intentionally controversial choices to keep people pissed off and/or arguing about the contents of the list. More exposure for them, and the lists take minutes at most to think up and publish.

Uh.. Star Wars the Arcade Game is one of the most badass games ever made.

Empire at war could have been higher and kotor could have been lower. other than that the order was good.

Actually, he missed rogue squadron too. I've been playing through that on PC, its not that bad, except for the crashing after ever level completion -.-;;

Tie Fighter was so awesome I think I played it about 20 times through.. God I miss GOOD space sim's like that one. I think it was the one (star wars/space sim) game that had everything done perfect.

IMO There haven't even been 10 "good" Star Wars games to even make that list.. Maybe 5.

I'm surprised Rebellion hasn't received any mention. Maybe its too smart of a game for people to handle. Or they dont like building 9 death stars and blowing up every planet in the universe.

Yes. So many awesome levels, each more awesome than the one before.

Yeah, that was the easiest way to win as the empire. Most of the time I started with blowing up Coruscant. Sometimes I even captured some high profile Rebels this way.
Sorry for the lousy German

TIE Fighter should be number 1. Kotor is maybe number 4 material.
