Recently I have come across many sites in my random internet perusing regarding Dragons, their history, existence, etc.

However, I come to you with this question to see your opinions. Do you think dragons exist / once did exist? Personally, I think they do / did. Dragons can include like the sea-dragons as well (like Gyrados!!!). I came across an article about how some scientists discovered like hundreds of new species in a reef of Australia. They said that they had been observing that place for a very very long time, and just now they came across them. And that's not even that deep water.

So what you guys think?

Komodo Dragon.

(And no)

I think it is possible a creature that looked like a dragon once exsisted. But it didn't fly, and didn't breathe fire.

Fire breathing and able to fly despite huge weight? No.
Monstrously large creatures that may have served as inspiration for dragons? Yes

I like there's no possibility ancient civilizations came across dinosaur bones and created stories to explain them.

No.

You wouldn't even want the bastards to exist. All they do in stories is act like giant dicks.

the dragon of komodo was probably the inspiration for it.

  • tongue that zips in and out like a flame = fire breathe
  • infectuous mouth mucas = diseased and deadly blood
  • Word of mouth/chinese whispers = increasing size and OMG IT CAN FLY

Also, dinosaur bones.

Ancient people undoubtedly discovered dinosaur bones. What did they think they were? Dragons, of course.

What doesn't exist, one would be ignorant of.

Then again, something could exist where one is ignorant of.

The imagination becomes real. The real being illusions. Dragons exist due to these abstract perceptions of certain beings. But they are only an illusion of the material. The material is ethereal.

Anything's possible.. Hell, we only know what's under like what, 1% of the world's oceans? God knows what could be down there. Same with the rainforests and other unexplored areas of the world. Granted it's highly improbable that given the state of the world that Dragons, in their fantasy-like state, exist without being seen. In my eyes they did exist, but LONG ago.

How the hell could dragons exist in your eyes

You wouldn't be able to see dumbass

Ok, this sound weird but a bit logical. I had a thought that if dragons did exist, they would be on another planet right? Well if they were very technologically advanced, enough to travel space and such, what if they came here? Checked over the communication networks and the internet about us and found out their unoffical/offical fan sites? Reading all about what we like about them and if were one of them we would do whatever. So if this highly advanced race came in contact with earth, what would happen then? What if, using their technology, could turn anyone who wanted to into dragons, adding to their own numbers? What would you do? Do you trust an unknown and extremely powerful race you just met or refuse with mis-trust? This question bugs me alot...Since its all down to ether curiousity or trust issues.
