I know he was the moderator, but the first time Obama corrected himself and said "John" right afterward. The second time I heard it he was talking to and looking at McCain, but I guess it's possible he was just being a passive-aggressive douche

We made it a drinking game too. We had simple rules though.

Take a shot everytime:

McCain mentions Obama's lack of experience
Obama attempts to tie McCain to Bush

Take two shots:

Anytime 9/11 is mentioned
Anytime the moderator is ignored or disrespected

Drink a bottle of Rum:

McCain dies on stage
Obama starts singing the 'Fresh Prince' theme.
Think while it's still legal.

What about when McCain compares Obama to Bush (that part was funny)
2008-09-27, 4:17 PM #44
Thought it was pretty even. McCain did a lot better than I thought, Obama did just as well as I thought he would. I thought at times though McCain was lookin very in control, especially when talking and Obama would try and interrupt and go "John.....john.....john" and McCain kept goin. That's good debate form right there. Regardless of whether what he was saying was actually useful or not, it's good debate form.

As articulate as Obama is, I would have been very amused if he suddenly gets out of control and say something like, "***** please! I don't want to hear that $300 billion tax cut ****!" to McCain.

IRG, I posted that here like a month ago.

(I just noticed how Hill's 2012 sign is red. Suggesting she'll jump parties and run against an incumbent Obama.)

I get the impression that the presidantial election will have all of the usual smearing and from what I've heard its getting heated already...
2008-09-28, 12:58 AM #51
it's been heated for like, the past two years.

Thanks for the correction, I was half-asleep :)

But the election, it will get really nasty. Btw... John McCain looks quite creepy onscreen I think ;).

That's because he's a creepy old man. He's like, the grumpy old guy on the end of the block who yells at you if you step in his lawn.
