I don't think I've ever seen any of his movies, but from the sound of it he was a great person.

Oh man.

This is a sad day.

I just saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid ALL the way through last week.

I've also seen the sting and road to perdition.

Great actor.

Ha! Know what's sad? That IS one of my favorite movies, and I'm so ignorant that I didn't know that was him.

Awesome actor. I'm starting to think Tom Cruise really wasn't crazy for building that bunker to protect himself. 2008 is the DEATH year for Celebs.. :(

It's a dirty shame all the good ones are the ones that are dying.

I never knew he was also a race car driver and some owner of a food company.

I knew about the salad dressing, my mom used to buy it when I was a kid. The proceeds went to various charities.

e:I used the past tense because I have no idea if the stuff is still sold. For all I know it is, though.

Sadly, I have no idea who he is.

But I still feel bad :(

At least he didn't die young - like my grandparents at 70.... which still isn't too bad I guess..

It is sold. Newman's Own right?
2008-09-27, 11:48 PM #19
Yea, it's at almost every grocery store.
2008-09-28, 1:21 AM #20
Ah, there you go. Shows how much time I spend buying salad dressing.

A lot of "famous" people have died this year, but this is the first one that has actually made me sad.

I've never seen a Paul Newman movie I didn't like.

Oh yeah, and this: http://forums.massassi.net/vb3/showthread.php?t=49689 (I think I posted that after what's his name from Batman offed himself with scotch and sleeping pills)

He wasn't just a racecar driver, also a team owner
