I doubt anyone could have missed it so easy... but the id software stone in the final passageway before you fight the final boss? If you found it, hopefully you clicked it. I wont spoil the rest for those who havent.

edit: heres a screeny of the wall, i shrank it to 640x480, hope thats not too big for anyone, im on dial up so i doubt it can get much worse.



The game was just amazing, I dont think ive ever played a game that good overall, halo still holds #1 to me just barely because of how fun gameplay is in both SP and MP... i havent tested out MP in doom yet, we shall see...

The MP is actually quite entertaining. It is very basic, the maps are few, but it is quite fun. Maybe not for everyone, but I enjoy it.

It comes out here in the UK tomorrow - how long did it take to finish? I'm still having nightmares after buying Spiderman the Game - lucky I got to take that back. But go on, how long? If you say less than 15 hours I won't buy it.

I didn't time myself, but it was pretty long compared to other modern FPS's. The average time is apparently around 20+ hours...

It took me maybe 20-25 hours. I was concerned the game was going to be very short, but I was quite pleased with it's length.

The scariness wore off on my after the first few levels. There is absolutely no drama or anything to build up the suspense. For monsters to be scary, you have to be not expecting them to pop out. Doom 3 fails at this.

System Shock 2 and the Thief games are still the best thrillers ever.
