=/ It didn't strike me as absurd as this thread makes it seem ... he's not saying the Vodka is going to heal you or has magical powers or whatever, he's just selling it as a novelty item and attaching the whole crystal skulls myth to give it a bit of flair. Like he said at the end, it's just "a luxury vodka in a cool bottle". 70% of the video wasn't even about the Vodka but just stuff to fluff the myth and add to the "experience".

I dunno how much it costs but if it isn't absurdly expensive I'd certainly buy one just for kicks... for, like TimeWolf mentioned, an Indy IV screening or something.

Of course. That's the whole scam with ultra-premium vodka. Most of the ultra-premiums buy their ethanol from elsewhere. If the relevance of that doesn't strike you, think of it this way: You're paying $60 to let someone water down alcohol they bought for pennies to the gallon.

The vodka craze started in the late 70s when it surpassed rum and bourbon as America's favorite spirit. Premium vodkas like Absolut and Ketel 1 sold really well. So Sidney Frank had an idea, if he made a vodka priced more than the premiums, would people buy it? The answer was obviously yes.

The distillers themselves have seen how profitable this is, so a few of them have started their own ultra-premium brands and cut out the middleman.
